    • remix, transform and build upon these Works, provided that you clearly acknowledge ADBI as the source of the material and indicate that changes have been made to the original material.

  3. However, some Works in the ATT are available under a different CC license and you need to refer to the specific license terms assigned to each Work for any restrictions on use.

ADBI reserves the right to revoke this permission if a link or any other material is used to imply that ADBI is promoting or endorsing an unapproved website, web page, blog, publication, or product, or if the same material is used in a way that is defamatory or damaging to ADBI’s reputation.

  6. If you create any translations or adaptations of Works that are available under a CC license that allows this, you should include the following disclaimers, as applicable:

    For translations:

    For adaptations:

This is an adaptation of an original Work © Asian Development Bank Institute [Year]. The views expressed here are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views and policies of ADBI or its Board of Governors or the governments they represent. ADBI does not endorse this work or guarantee the accuracy of the data included in this publication and accepts no responsibility for any consequence of their use.

  7. If you are archiving, copying, distributing, or displaying any of the Works from the ATT, ensure that any disclaimers included in the Work (usually on the copyright page) are included or transmitted with the Work.

  8. ADBI expects that any material directly quoted from and attributed to ADBI will faithfully reproduce any references to ADBI members, maps, and borders as they appear in the original ADBI publication.

  9. ADBI does not necessarily hold copyright to each chapter, table, figure, data set, photograph, illustration, or other contribution to a Work on the ATT. ADBI therefore does not warrant that the use of any third-party-owned individual content contained in the ATT will not infringe on the rights of third parties. You assume full responsibility for the use of the material and conformity to the laws of copyright, defamation and privacy, and shall hold ADBI harmless from any claims arising as a result of the use of the material.

  10. If you want to use part of a publication available on the ATT, you need to first check if ADBI actually holds copyright to the paragraph, table, figure, data set, photograph, or other illustration you intend to use. If it is attributed to another source, please contact the copyright owner or publisher of that source for permission to reproduce it. You are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions. ADBI cannot assist you in obtaining permission from sources external to ADB.

  11. The ATT provides a number of links to third-party websites for the convenience of its users. The inclusion of these links does not in any way imply endorsement by ADBI or its affiliates. Since these links are not under the control of ADBI, it shall not be responsible for the contents of these linked sites or the opinions and statements expressed therein. This also applies to any additional links that may appear within these sites. Neither does the inclusion of these links in any way imply endorsement or approval of its contents by ADBI or its Board of Governors or the governments they represent.

  12. Please review the ADBI Terms of Use prior to using the ATT. For some of the Works, such as the various ADBI datasets and project data, or video materials, ADBI has specific terms of use which also apply.

  13. Nothing in or relating to these Terms of Use shall be deemed as a limitation upon or waiver, express or implied, of any of the privileges and immunities of ADBI under the ADBI Charter, which are specifically reserved, and no provision of these Terms of Use shall be interpreted or applied in a manner, or to an extent, inconsistent with such privileges and immunities.

  15. Any and all disputes arising as a result of CC IGO licenses that cannot be settled amicably shall be resolved in accordance with the mediation and/or arbitration procedure provided in the CC IGO license.

  16. To facilitate your use of this site, ADBI will use cookies to remember your site visits and usage as well as information that you have already provided. You can always direct your browser to refuse cookies, but this may affect how you can use certain features of the site, and you may need to provide your information again in order to be able to use some of its services.

  17. By using the ATT and any of the Works, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. ADBI reserves the right to amend the Terms of Use at its sole discretion. By continuing to use the ATT subsequent to such amendment, you also agree to any changes in the terms.

  18. Please contact info@think-asia.org if you have questions or comments with respect to content on the ADBI ATT, or if you wish to obtain copyright permission for any intended use that does not fall within these terms, or for permission to use the ADBI logo.
